Siberia | Wild Nature of Russia. Documentary Film Part 1 | National Geographic.
Siberia is a huge geographical and historical region of Russia, stretching from the Ural Mountains to the east, to the coast of the Pacific Ocean. In the south, the borders of China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan are considered to be the borders of Siberia, and in the north – the coast of the Arctic Ocean. The Siberian expanses are spread over 13,100,000 km2, which is more than three quarters of the area of the Russian Federation or 10% of the entire land on the planet. The territory of Siberia is almost equal to the area of Canada, the world's second largest state, and far exceeds the area of such large countries as China, India or even Australia, which occupies an entire continent.
A vast geographical region in the Asian part of Russia, bounded on the west by the Ural Mountains, on the east by the watershed ridges running along the Pacific Ocean, on the north by the Arctic Ocean, on the south by the state border of Russia. It became part of Russia in the XVI-XVIII centuries.
