Brazil has allowed the docking of two Iranian warships in Rio de Janeiro despite U.S. pressure. The Iranian warships IRIS Makran and IRIS Dena arrived on Sunday morning at Rio's port. Reuters earlier this month reported that Brazil had bowed to U.S. pressure and declined Iran's request for the vessels to dock in Rio as Brazilian President Lula da Silva flew to Washington to meet U.S. President Joe Biden.
